35 weeks-cuddly coconut

{Update: finally got a picture this week, bu all the coconuts were too small at the HEB. Plus, it's getting harder and harder to both get a fruit/vegetable and take a shower on the same summer day. Just being honest. It took me a few extra days. :)}

Along: 35w0d
Size of baby: Sweet Pea is the size of a coconut--close to 6 lbs and 19 inches long. Growth over the next few weeks is mostly bulk for the baby (1/2-lb a week or so) and fluid for me.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm around 23-24 lbs, and more coming from fluid and swelling.
Maternity Clothes: Oh yes. Getting a little limited in my options, but I still feel like I have enough cute and comfy options to make it through the next 5 weeks.
Gender: It's a girl! Cara Beth Connell
Movement: Like always, strong and frequent. Her head is down, and I feel a lot of pressure from it. There's this one spot under my right ribcage that she likes to slow jab. I've started saying, "I have pains in my spot" because it happens so frequently. It's like she plants her foot in the corner and presses against it with all her might. It's not sharply painful, but it does make me react by pushing back against her. I'll be glad when she drops down a little bit and maybe can't reach that spot anymore. :) Other than that, it's typical thuds, ripples and waves, balling up on the right side of my belly, etc. No problem with kick counts because of the super frequency.
What I miss: sleeping on my stomach, sleeping comfortably on my back, sleeping through the night (sensing a trend here?), bending over, moving quickly, not being hot
Cravings: milk, chocolate milk, iced tea, Sonic slushes. I've decided that more than cravings, I'm just very susceptible to suggestions. If someone talks about a certain food, it immediately sounds good and I want it. I don't have tons of original cravings, but when I hear about something, it just sounds like I need to have it.
Symptoms: much of the same from last week: actual contractions (tight belly, but very infrequent), feeling REALLY tired, swelling in my ankles and some in my fingers, general discomfort, sleep issues
Best moment of the week: Having a "ladies who lunch" kind of week. I went to the Olive Branch twice with different sets of friends, had a pool day, ran errands to plan for the showers this weekend, etc. It's been fun and chill (except for the weather!).
Looking forward to: Meredith's bachelorette party on Friday night in Dallas, her wedding shower Saturday morning and our 10-year HS reunion Saturday night. It's going to be a whirlwind of fun and excitement, but also very tiring. After this weekend, I'm on travel restriction, so I'd better make it count. We won't be back in Dallas until Meredith gets married in October!
Not looking forward to: writing 10 weeks of lessons in the next 2 weeks. I got a bunch of resources from my old teaching mentors (who won't be back at WHS next year...) :( so that I can start planning pre-AP lessons. It won't be that bad to sit down and do it, I'm just not looking forward to working again. I keep forgetting I have a job to go back to after the baby and that I can't just nest and get her room ready all summer! I need some motivation to get this work done.
