Friday:
In the late afternoon, Chance let me start out my weekend with one of these:
I had to wait for almost an hour before they did my toes, so I HAD to sit in the massaging chair and soak my feet for all that time. Oh darn...
That evening, Cara was obsessed with my pretty pink toes. (We painted hers again recently, but it's chipped off quickly. #toddlerproblems) I was in the dining room, and she started to play "This Little Piggie" on my feet. Chance grabbed the camera and she did it again, but the first time was the best off-camera. She's so funny!
Saturday:
Chance got up early to do the yardwork, and Cara and I played and had breakfast and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She LOVES to say "Oh, Toodles!" and sing the "hot dog song" at the end of each episode.
Chance was finished and wanted to take her to Lowe's and run errands, so they had some time together. Later, we all took naps in various locations and felt very rested. Cara slept for 3 HOURS!! We had a snack and then drove down to Baylor's campus. We had told her that we were going to see the Baylor Bears, and that's all she could talk about that day. We couldn't get there fast enough! It was a hot day, but campus was really dead, so we walked to the bear pit, saw the sleeping bears, sang the "Baylor Bear Song" (That Good Old Baylor Line) and did many Sic 'Ems.
So instead, we walked to Carroll Science and sat under the full shade tree coverage. Cara quickly ran to the steps, and we spent a while going up and down and back again on the steps and the nearby stone benches.
Once we got home, we had to clean up and have dinner and then all get to bed early for church the next morning. We had a day full of making memories, and Cara is still talking about the Baylor Bears. :)
Sunday:
We had to work in the 3-year-old Sunday School class at 8:15, so it was an early day. We went to Sunday School, and we were the only couple there! So we chatted with our teachers and then went home early and took some Father's Day pictures.
I laid down on the floor to pretend I was asleep, and Cara ran over and started to pat my back and whispered "Shhhhhh... Mommy sleeping." just like they do at school. It was just adorable.
hugs from the girls, but not if it means Murphee has to put her toy down
Murphee Leigh, we can't believe you're 2! Here it looks like we could have twin girls. You are a spitfire, full of energy and laughter 100% of the time. We love you and love watching you and Cara grow up as friends. What a fun weekend we had! I'm going to keep having fun with the girls when I keep them BOTH on Tuesday! Wish me luck. :)
