It was unreal to see her facial features, her little fingers, decipher potential personality quirks and interact with her. We learned several things:
- She looks very much like my newborn baby pictures, but she has a couple of Chance's stronger features tossed in.
- She LOVES to cuddle with her hands. It was impossible to get a shot of her face without a hand in there somewhere, and I think it's really cute that she soothes herself with her hands.
- She likes to cuddle. My placenta is anterior, meaning that it's covering the front of my belly. Repeatedly, Cara would gravitate toward it and the outer part of my belly and turn her face towards it, like she was snuggling up.
- She's a wiggler for sure. She was bringing her feet up to her head, turning from side to side, opening and closing her mouth in both yawns and "yells", moving her bum up and down (which are the harder pushes I've been feeling lately). Think I'll enroll her in gymnastics as soon as she's old enough. :)
We loved her so much already, but to put a sweet face with those feelings was just incredible. We got so many pictures and loved sharing them with our families. It's going to be awesome to compare what we see/know about her from these pictures with how she actually is on the outside! It made us very ready for our sweet girl to be here already. She needs to grow for just a little bit longer, but I can't wait to snuggle her up to me! I know Chance is already wrapped around those tiny little fingers you can see.
Cara, we adore you to pieces and are putting all the final touches on our house and lives to be ready for you. Please keep growing and developing perfectly until the day you are ready to come see us. We pray for you often, talk about you frequently and love you completely.
