Murphee Leigh Edison

Our sweet niece Murphee was born June 15, 2012. We were able to spend the day at the hospital, anxiously awaiting her arrival! When Chance got off of work, he came straight to the hospital, and all the family waited for a few hours. Cari had made some progress, but not enough to have her by around 9 p.m.

Chance and I had planned to drive to Dallas late that night because I had a shower the next morning. Reluctantly, we decided to leave at 9, because the thought was that it was going to be a long while. We had gotten 2 exits north on the highway when we got a call that she was pushing! We turned right around and were able to be there in plenty of time when Murphee was born at 9:32. She weighed 8lbs2oz and was so perfect!

We all got to take turns holding her and loving on her, and then we left early to drive north. I'm so glad we were able to be a part of that day and be there for the sweet moments of her birth. It also made it very exciting to picture Chance and me in the same wing in a couple of months when Cara is born!

Murphee, we love you so much already. You've been through a lot in your little life, and you have handled it with grace and ease. I know your parents are so thankful to have you in their family, and couldn't imagine life without you. Your Uncle Chance and I are so glad that Cara will have a friend and companion for life. We're excited to watch you both grow and see who you become.
