Week 17--Sweetest Sweet Potato
Along: 17w0d
Size of baby: Sweetly enough, Sweet Pea is the size of sweet potato. It's getting cooler and cooler to measure by fruit/veggies because they're so significant in size!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: At the doctor last week, I gained 1 lb. from my last visit. That means I've gained about 4 lbs total! I'm shocked because this belly has to weigh something, right? I'm sure my weekly weight gain is about to get a huge boost, but I always thought it would be more at first. No complaints!
Maternity Clothes: Wearing all maternity bottoms, and some of my looser shirts still look cute with a tank underneath. Lord bless the maxi dress too. Nothing is more comfortable and cute!
Gender: We find out NEXT WEEK! You'll have to wait a little while to find out since we're having a gender reveal party, so I may not blog about the gender until after next weekend. But the date is set and we're so ready. I'm so confused and torn, so I'm just counting the days until we find out.
Movement: I'm so aware of any movement in my tummy (hunger rumbles, food settling, etc.), so I don't think anything has been Sweet Pea, but it's bound to happen soon.
Sleep: Pretty good this week. I did not have a glass of milk every night before bed, so some nights I slept until about 30 minutes before my alarm. That's a bonus. Looks like milk is the nighttime wake-up culprit, but it's so delicious-how do I resist?
What I miss: Nothing much this week. It has been a good week!
Cravings: Still milk, still cheese, still my 3-cheese ziti frozen dinner for lunch each day. I'm eating lots of fruits cups and dairy. A far cry from what I assumed my cravings would be before I ever got pregnant.
Symptoms: Back pain from the growing belly, fatigue, nothing major
Best moment of the week: Spring Break girls' weekend!! We had so much fun.
Looking forward to: Seeing The Hunger Games at midnight tonight (!!!), watching Baylor men's basketball in the Sweet 16 this weekend. Counting the days (hours?) to our gender U/S appt.

Paige! So excited to hear about your weekly updates. At your next appointment ask if your placenta is anterior or posterior. If it's anterior that could be why you aren't feeling much or anything at all yet and even if it's posterior your little one could just be very sweet and gentle at the moment. haha! That won't last for very long! Can't wait to hear the gender of your Sweet Pea!
