18 weeks--marvelous mango

Along: 18w0d
Size of baby: Sweet Pea is the size of a mango. It's one of my favorite tropical fruits, except that they're so hard to cut/eat. I'll have to enjoy eating this one this time!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Guessing around 5-6 lbs. by now. It was 4 a couple of weeks ago. I don't trust my scale at home, so I usually wait until I go to the doctor. Next visit is in about 3 weeks.
Maternity Clothes: Spring weather coming back has made a resurgence in my dress wearing. Dresses are so cute and comfortable!
Gender: WE FOUND OUT TODAY!!!! We haven't told anyone yet because we haven't been with Chance's family all together, and my parents aren't coming to Waco until Friday night. We'll tell them, call a few friends outside of Waco, and have our reveal party with our church friends Saturday night. I'm so excited and relieved to finally just have an answer so we can stop guessing. And calling Sweet Pea by the name we picked out has been fun today too.
Movement: I think I MAY have felt something this morning. I slept in because we took the day off for the ultrasound. I was on my back, laying really still, with my hands on my stomach. I was hungry, so I was having some hunger grumblies in my tummy, and I felt some other different feelings. It felt kind of like a thump or a bump or something. I guess if I feel more movements like that over the next weeks, I'll know for sure!
Sleep: I started using the Boppy wedge pillow (thanks, Em!) between my knees this week. I've been trying to flip onto my stomach when I sleep, and that's no longer an option, so keeping a pillow between my knees helps my back when I sleep and keeps me from rolling over. It's been good!
What I miss: As crazy as it sounds, I miss buttoning or zipping pants. :) Don't get me wrong, elastic waisted pants are fabulous, but it feels weird to just pull them on and not zip anything.
Cravings: Milk, and soup this week. I ate soup once a day this week--from restaurants and from the pantry. It's tasted really good!
Symptoms: Same as last week: back pain from the growing belly, fatigue, nothing major
Best moment of the week: Finding out the gender! I will blog about it fully later, but it was a sweet, sweet day.
Looking forward to: Telling our families and friends and to our gender reveal party Amanda is throwing us on Saturday. Excitement abounds.
