On Thursday, Chance came home with a single red rose for each of his girls, and he explained to Cara that he got her a rose because he loved her. She felt it and learned to sniff it by watching us. It was the cutest thing! She carried it around for a while until we put it in water. Sweet guy we've got!
We also read Curious George and got so tickled at all the words she's attempting--so fun to hear her talk so well!
Friday was Valentine's Day, and I sent some cookies to school with Cara. Full disclosure: they were store-bought, but hand cut by me, so I did a little something.
Cara was about the cutest thing ever with her pigtails and her heart shirt! When did my sweet baby become a full-fledged TODDLER? It was literally overnight, and when we started pulling her hair up. It just happened.
When we got home from school, we played with her books and blankets, and just had a good time reading and laughing together. She was a little ham for us and took some selfies as she played!
She ate a cupcake after dinner and then played horsey with Chance, which brought more giggles.
Then she found the glasses from her Mr. Potato Head and decided they would look perfect on her face. She ran around the house to find a mirror to see herself over and over again. She would hardly hold still for a picture. We were cracking up!
Crazy girl... We put her to bed, and then Chance gave me my present... the gift of TIME!! He took me to our bathroom, where he had chocolate covered strawberries and candles waiting, and told me to take a bath, listen to some music and to take as long as I wanted. Oh, it was glorious! I got to spend more than an hour in quiet, calm solitude (and while I was doing that, he did the laundry!!!) and totally relaxed. I felt so good afterwards, so serene and unstressed. What a LOVEly end to a wonderful day. We all felt loved and appreciated and made some sweet memories.
