30 weeks--cute cucumber

Along: 30w0d
Size of baby: Sweet Pea is the length of a cucumber! She's growing bigger all the time. I start going to the dr. every 2 weeks now, which is exciting and crazy, and I scheduled every visit until my due date, which is even more crazy. We talked about childbirth classes and the milestones I need to reach. After 34 weeks, they won't stop labor if she comes early. I could theoretically have a baby by July 19! Let's hope Cara prefers August a little better. :)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I went to the dr. on Tuesday, and I gained 4 lbs. this month. Total is now around 18 lbs.
Maternity Clothes: If Emily and Britni hadn't lent me shorts, I'm not sure what I'd be wearing! They go with everything, and I've been pairing long shorts with cute tops and tank tops. Or there's always the stand-by yoga pants and t-shirts.
Gender: It's a girl! Cara Beth Connell
Movement: Lots and lots. She is a strong little girl. We got some pictures of her at our 4D ultrasound (coming in another post), and we got to see and feel her movements simultaneously.
What I miss: sitting comfortably for long periods of time, breathing deeply, not getting hot when the house is 78*.
Cravings: milk, cheese, Raisin Bran, waffles, fruit cups, popsicles, Diet Coke
Symptoms: feeling the heat more easily, getting out of breath, feeling like there's less room in my belly, leg cramps at night, getting up in the middle of the night
Best moment of the week: Quite a few: being there to greet Murphee on Friday night when she was born, my Dallas shower on Saturday, seeing Cara's sweet face in our 4D ultrasound.

Worst moment of the week: A big one: Cindy was hospitalized in the ICU in Dallas on Monday and has been very sick this week. She had pneumonia and a host of other symptoms--low blood pressure, high blood sugar, kidney function problems, fever, etc. She has been on a ventilator since Monday night/Tuesday morning and is just recently coming off of full sedation meds. Her doctors in the ICU and her bone marrow transplant team are encouraged by her progress and believe she's making improvements, but it has been very scary and difficult to see her so critical for a while. We are grateful that so many people have been praying for her and helping our family. Please keep praying for her health recovery, for no pain, for her doctors and for all the Connells/Edisons as we're either stationed in Dallas or traveling back/forth from Waco. Here is a link to her CaringBridge with lots of updates. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/cindyconnell.
Looking forward to: More progress with Cindy and for her to wake up, keep healing and come home! Pray that is an option sooner rather than later. Also looking forward to visiting Emily and Abigail in SA next week. Gotta get my travels in before I'm restricted, and I haven't seen them since February. June has been a BUSY month with tons of exciting things, but I'm looking forward to July and August slowing down a bit. My to-do list doesn't seem to ever get crossed off fully... I do still have several posts to get caught up on, but other things just seem to take priority for now.
