Week 20--Can't Believe It's a Cantaloupe!

Along: 20w0d
Size of baby: Our Sweet Pea is the size of a cantaloupe. I'm at the exact halfway point in my pregnancy--20 weeks down, 20 to go. It has seriously flown by. After my confusion last week with the fruit, now we're back on track. I've really "blossomed" in the last week, I think. More people are noticing the belly, telling me I look bigger, etc. So far, it's still a compliment. :)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Guessing around 6-7 lbs. I go to the doctor next Tuesday.
Maternity Clothes: I still wear a few regular shirts, and I wore the Bella Band with my white pants (!!!) this week. Em loaned me some super-cute white bermuda shorts, and I can't wait to wear those more.
Gender: It's a girl!! Cara Beth Connell
Movement: Today!!!!!! I was at a meeting after school, and I felt hungry. Then I noticed that those weren't typical stomach hunger gurgles. They were more in one place, and they felt like bubbly jerky thumps in the lower half of my abdomen. It was the coolest moment! I can't wait for it to happen again. I was starting to wonder if she was really moving in there.
Sleep: After a prenatal massage last week (OMG!) where I used a body pillow, I went right out and bought one at Target. Just a regular one for now because I wasn't sure if I'd like it. But it is so amazing! I throw a leg over it, tuck an arm underneath it, and hug it with the other arm. When I take naps on the couch, I snuggle with it, and it's so comfortable. It holds heat at night, so I wake up hot. And it's harder to flip over or get up to pee when it's on the bed. And Po loves it!! I think we'll keep it.

What I miss: Not much this week. I miss Easter break! My last holiday before school is out for summer...
Cravings: Still drinking milk all the time, still eating soup for lunch and craving cheese and yogurt. Me and baby girl are going to have strong bones!
Symptoms: fatigue, but not serious. It's been a busy week at school, and our carpooling to work has been longer (me taking Chance to Bellmead and back to school in the morning), so I haven't gotten as much sleep as I need.
Best moment of the week: Feeling her move and kick! It was really, really cool to finally experience it. I'm ready to feel it again.
Looking forward to: Going to Irving this weekend to register at the big Babies R Us, buy nursery furniture and look for bedding fabric. I have a set that I'd like to buy, but I want to make sure there's not a set of perfect fabric out there. Going to be a fun weekend!
