7 weeks

Along: 7w0d
Size of baby: Bunny/Sweet Pea (a bit of a debate as to the nickname in our house) is a raspberry!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: This week I started feeling "fluffy". At first it felt like I'd just eaten a lot for dinner, but when it didn't go away, I wondered if this was the start of weight progression. I've been told by lots of friends not to worry about when I need maternity clothes and to just be comfortable. We'll see how I progress!
Maternity Clothes: Speaking of... nothing yet. I may need to be borrowing from those friends sooner than I thought.
Gender: Still feeling girl, but either way it's just exciting!
Movement: nope, not yet. I keep channeling Phoebe from Friends and singing the song she wrote while she was pregnant with her brother's babies (ha, as a surrogate). I'm singing, "Are you in there, little fetus? In 9 months will you come greet us? I will buy you...some...Adidas!" :)
Sleep: Still doing OK in this area. Maybe getting up once a night 4 times a week. Still feeling rested and taking naps whenever I can.
What I miss: Diet Coke, Diet Coke, Diet Coke--and, oh ya, Diet Coke. Caffeine free just isn't the same.
Cravings: grape soda?!? No caffeine there! It's really yummy.
Symptoms: They are mostly food-related this week. I haven't had any nausea, but I've had general loss of appetite. I eat a Pop Tart in the morning if I can, some Greek yogurt or part of a frozen meal for lunch (nothing really sounds good and my options from my mini fridge at school are limited), and then I'm starving by 4. I eat 1-2 100-calorie packs at the end of the school day, and then I'm ready for a big dinner. It's very strange. My schedule at school is prohibitive as far as when I can eat, so I'm either scarfing or waiting.
Best moment of the week: Telling a few more friends and getting ants in my pants waiting for our first doctor's visit--tomorrow! We'll hopefully get to hear the heartbeat and see little Pea.
