Along: 27w0d
Size of baby: Sweet Pea is the size of a head of a rutabaga. I think this one is on the small side for as big as the baby is getting, but c'est la vie! I don't know what to do with a rutabaga or what it tastes like/goes with. But it's fun to say.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 14-15 lbs so far
Maternity Clothes: Same as last week. I'm feeling bigger in my smaller clothes. Large t-shirts feel wonderfully roomy. Half-panel pants are a thing of the past-they press on my lower belly and hurt when I sit for too long. Bring on the dresses! I got to wear yoga pants to school today, and it. was. awesome.
Gender: It's a girl! Cara Beth Connell
Movement: Feeling her lots and lots now, and the movements are getting stronger. She's most active in the mornings and nights and after I eat. I notice it most around 6:30 a.m., 10:30, 1:30, 8:30 and 10:30. Those are all just about 2 hours after I eat a meal, so that makes total sense. It's fun to interact with her by pressing on my belly and watching her wriggle across my belly. She's getting bigger and running lower on room, so it's a lot easier to feel her.
What I miss: Bending over all the way, being able to eat a full meal without hurting
Cravings: Raisin Bran, root beer, strawberry Greek yogurt, Sonic Diet Vanilla Coke
Symptoms: Today I begin my 3rd trimester (um, crazy...), and I'm really starting to feel it. Most nights I get uncomfortable at the top of my belly and a few spots in my back, I feel the stretching of my stomach, I feel hot more easily (like under the covers at night and walking in/out of HEB when it's 95* outside). It's the beginnings of feeling uncomfortable, and I'm trying to stay positive because it would be really easy to complain. I still love being pregnant, and I can't wait to meet our girl, so my goal is to report my symptoms without complaining too much. Hold me to it. :)
Best moment of the week: Last weekend celebrating our anniversary in Ft. Worth (I have a post and pics coming soon...), celebrating our actual anniversary today (#4!) and the last day of school!!!! I have a work day tomorrow, but kids are gone. I'm packing up my classroom because I may be moving rooms next year, and they're teaching summer school in my room, so I need to protect what's mine. It's been a big week finishing school and finals, mentally preparing for summer (though a BUSY summer is on the docket) and marking our marriage milestone. I'm excited that I've finished my 3rd year of teaching and really excited that I may not have to go back until October. Now, who wants to be my long-term sub??? You think I'm kidding...
Looking forward to: WHS Graduation on Saturday--my first crop of kiddos ever. That will be a sweet moment. Also lots of Baylor baseball this weekend with the Regional tournament. One day of staff development next week, but lots of time for hibernating. Most importantly, moving over the guest room to the office/new guest room and putting the crib together!! Chance is super excited to do all that... :)
{Happy anniversary to us! Love these happy pics from 4 years ago...}

I tried not to complain during my pregnancy. I figure there are plenty of women with much worse symptoms or haven't gotten pregnant yet and would like to be. Amen to keeping you stuff secure! I've had to get over that a little.
