week 13--little lemon

Along: 13w0d
Size of baby: Sweet Pea is the size of a lemon. 4 inches long, and my belly is starting to show it!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: At the doctor last week, I was weighed officially. I lost a half pound! I actually think I gained about 2 pounds, and the first time I weighed I had heavier clothes on because it was colder. Still, that was less than I expected!
Maternity Clothes: Mom took me shopping last weekend at Destination Maternity, and I'm going with Emily to San Marcos this weekend for a few more things. I got some black pants and capri jeans and some really cute tops and 2 dresses. I can still wear most of my pants regularly, although by the end of the day they're feeling a little tight. My belly seems to expand more by bedtime than it does when I first wake up.
Gender: Baby's heartbeat was 160 bpm, so could it be girl? Or is he just really wiggly and getting his heart rate up?
Movement: When does this start? The sonogram showed a wiggle worm, so I'm ready to start feeling it!
Sleep: It hasn't been the best sleep week. It's been really busy, so I've been staying up later and getting more tired. I've been able to have a nap or two in the evenings, but I'm tired during the day.
What I miss: Like last week, I miss long, full nights of sleep.
Cravings: MILK! With Chance on his diet still (15 lbs. down!), I'm the only one drinking milk in the house. I'm going through a gallon every 4 days or so. It's intense. And delicious. I also really wanted cinnamon rolls last weekend, so I made a small batch and ate 1 a couple of mornings for breakfast.
Symptoms: A belly pooch. It expands through the day, and today 3 kids in 3 different class periods said, "Miss, you're showing!" which led to a pause in our lesson to discuss how far along I was, what I thought I was having, etc. Maybe I should direct them to the blog? :) No!
Best moment of the week: Having Monday off! Celebrating Mom's birthday with them, enjoying time with Chance and the baby.
Looking forward to: Maternity shopping with Em, Sing on Saturday (huge Baylor tradition), Oscar party on Sunday--busy and full weekend!

  1. You'll start feeling Baby C. between 16 and 20 weeks. :) It's the best!
